Boeing's (BA) software glitch in the 737 Max jet will be scrutinized as the US Federal Aviation Administration may convene a review panel as soon as Friday, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The corrective action review board will deliberate on whether the software problem is a safety of flight issue that needs to be addressed with further regulatory action, the report said.

Boeing did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
