CoreWeave (CRWV) said Wednesday it plans to enter India with a new AI data center project at AdaniConneX's Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai.

The facility will initially provide 240 megawatts of capacity, with an option to expand to 480 megawatts, it said.

CoreWeave said it expects to invest several billion dollars over the project's lifetime, with operations targeted for mid-2028.

The company will establish an Indian office and deploy Nvidia's (NVDA) Vera Rubin systems for AI workloads, it added.

CoreWeave shares were 2% lower in premarket trading.
