Apollo Global Management's (APO) 5.70 billion British pounds ($7.53 billion) takeover of EasyJet is set for completion in early 2027, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing EasyJet Chief Executive Kenton Jarvis.
Jarvis was quoted as saying that there is no meaningful shareholder resistance and that regulatory review remains a key variable.
Jarvis said the family of EasyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou, which owns 15.3% of the airline, supports the deal, and EasyJet will retain its name after the transaction closes, according to Bloomberg.
Apollo agreed to buy the carrier in August, with the scheme document set for publication next week, according to Bloomberg.
Apollo and EasyJet did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
