Cointelegraph 的流量受到 Google 严重冲击。2025 年 10 月 Google 对其发出人工处罚后，该加密新闻网站的自然流量下降约 80%，网站从 Google 搜索结果中消失。此前在 2025 年 6 月，其网站还曾遭遇前端漏洞攻击。Similarweb 数据显示，该网站 2024 年 12 月月访问量超过 1200 万，而截至 9 月 1 日，月访问量仅略高于 70 万。
Cointelegraph 成立于 2013 年，其 LinkedIn 页面显示员工超过 200 人。该公司的 MENA 业务曾于 2022 年 7 月被 Luna Media Corporation 收购，以支持其全球及区域扩张。Cointelegraph 未立即回应置评请求。
