路透10月8日 - 壳牌 SHEL.L 和雪佛龙 CVX.N 周三表示，随着热带风暴“伊萨亚斯”逼近该地区，它们正在缩减墨西哥湾的海上作业。
壳牌表示，正在撤离所有人员，并暂停其Mars、Olympus、Ursa、Vito和Appomattox资产的生产。该公司补充称，已将Stones资产上的非必要人员转移至安全地带。
此外，雪佛龙表示，已针对其运营的墨西哥湾四处设施启动停产程序，以应对这场风暴。
这家美国石油巨头还表示，部分额外人员正在被转移至陆上，而其位于“美洲湾”（即墨西哥湾）的其他五处设施的生产仍保持正常水平。
美国国家飓风中心称，热带风暴“伊萨亚斯”（(link)）于周三在墨西哥湾形成，预计将在周六凌晨登陆美国南部海岸前增强为飓风，给多个州带来暴雨、风暴潮及可能出现的龙卷风。
