0511 GMT - The Singapore real-estate investment trust sector's commercial asset deal activity is seen underpinned by safe-haven liquidity and low local interest rates, says UOB Kay Hian's Jonathan Koh in a note. While the city-state's REIT gauge has underperformed the benchmark FTSE Straits Times Index year-to-date, firm asset valuationsand continued low cost of debt are still likely to support the sector, he says. The analyst expects the sector's equities to be resilient, as he views them as major laggards. UOB KH maintains an overweight rating on the sector. Its top picks include Centurion Accommodation REIT and CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust.
