0513 GMT - Elevated inflation alongside lackluster economic growth supports the case for inflation-linked bonds in fixed income portfolios, Societe Generale rates strategists say in a note. "While headline inflation has been coming off recently, the re-start of hostilities in the Middle East bring back risks of inflation," they say. They expect indirect effects from higher energy costs to filter through with a lag.
