0555 GMT - French government bond issuance will return next Thursday, and supply is likely to play a significant role in sustaining cheapness in OATs, say Citi's Jamie Searle and Puja Sawant in a note. "Looking ahead, issuance may be particularly impactful early next year," the rates strategists say. The run-up to the French presidential elections coincides with a net cash need for OATs in January-April equivalent to 70% of the full-year total, they say. That said, the strategists expect the weighted average maturity to drop to a decade low.
