印度央行推出自2013年缩减恐慌以来力度最强的一批护盘措施后，印度卢比创下六个月最大涨幅。周一，卢比升值1%，为4月以来最大涨幅，美元兑卢比汇率报95.7575。一月期美元兑卢比无本金交割远期早些时候一度下跌0.8%。债券价格下跌，基准10年期国债收益率上行5个基点至7.35%，为2023年11月以来最高水平。在卢比逼近1美元兑97卢比的历史低位后，印度央行于周六公布支撑本币的举措。措施包括设立专项窗口，满足国有石油企业的美元需求，并对部分外汇衍生品设置准备金要求。印度央行已于周三加息，并释放可进一步收紧政策的信号。
Emkay Global Financial Services首席经济学家Madhavi Arora表示：“这些属于战术性补救手段，并非结构性解决方案。表面来看，相关措施能够限制投机头寸、提高对冲成本、收紧银行流动性，在短期内为卢比提供一定支撑。”
