Computershare's Interest-Rate Benefits Look a Way Off

0010 GMT - Any overall benefit to Computershare from interest-rate rises look to be some way off, UBS analysts warn. The investment bank's analysts tell clients in a note that higher yields could slow near-term capital markets activity and delay the emergence of acquisition opportunities in the corporate trust space. While they acknowledge that higher rates are positive for the share-registry operator's margin income, they see yield benefits emerging after the current fiscal year. UBS keeps a neutral rating on the stock and cuts its target price 3.3% to 41.55 Australian dollars. Shares are down 1.5% at A$39.78.
