智通财经APP获悉，全球芯片设计软件开发领导者新思科技(SNPS.US)计划尝试与中国AI实验室合作，以改进芯片设计流程，此举紧随新思科技与亚马逊(AMZN.US)和OpenAI签署涉及芯片设计技术的多年期协议之后。
据了解，新思科技首席产品管理官拉维·苏布拉马尼亚姆表示，公司正在探索与中国AI实验室建立合作伙伴关系，以开发面向中国市场的类似工具。随着模型训练和部署需求持续增长，新型AI驱动的芯片设计工具对于跟上这一趋势至关重要。
“我们有一套必须遵守的美国政府规定，无论我们做什么，在拓展业务时都会遵守这些规定，”苏布拉马尼亚姆表示。“我们认为中国有其自身的增长动力。”
新思科技与OpenAI的协议涉及开发GPT-Synopsys，这是一个经过优化的专用模型，可利用新思科技EDA工具执行半导体设计工作流程。
