Western Mining Subsidiary Gets Local Government Approval for Mineral Estimates

Western Mining (SHA:601168) indirect subsidiary Anhui Xikuang Yulong Chating Mining received approval from the Anhui Department of Natural Resources in China for its mineral resource estimate for a mine, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The Shangchangcun Mining Section logged a total copper metal content of 2.4 million metric tons, with an ore quantity of 820.5 million metric tons, the filing said.

Gold content reached a total of 313.2 metric tons, while silver content totaled about 1,430 metric tons.

Company shares rose 2% during afternoon trading on Friday.
