Utilities Down as AI Fears Weigh on Constellation Energy

Shares of power producers ticked down as traders retreated from sectors exposed to the artificial-intelligence boom.

Shares of Constellation Energy, the independent power producer that's partnered with Google on new nuclear power capacity, fell by 4.8%.

The SPDR Select Sector Utilities exchange-traded fund, which tracks the utilities industry group of the S&P 500, is down by roughly 5% for the year to date, among the weakest showings of S&P 500 sectors.
