AbbVie (ABBV) is poised for a top-line beat in Q3, driven by its Rinvoq, Skyrizi, and Vraylar therapies, with Heme-Onc expected to be in-line and Humira to miss estimates, RBC Capital Markets said in a Tuesday note.
RBC projected Q3 revenue of $17.58 billion compared with consensus of $17.32 billion, and said its quarterly earnings per share estimate of $3.83 sits below consensus of $3.87, due to higher operational expenses and $216 million in in-process research and development related to the Apogee acquisition.
Additionally, RBC said that Inflation Reduction Act-driven driven pricing erosion is expected to continue in the oncology segment, keeping quarterly results there in-line with expectations, while the neuro franchise will benefit from Vraylar coming in with a strong print.
AbbVie is scheduled to report its Q3 results on Oct. 30.
RBC maintained its outperform rating with a $280 price target.
