GE Aerospace raised its full-year outlook as it reported higher profit and revenue in the latest quarter, supported by continued strong demand.
The maker of jet engines posted a third-quarter profit from continuing operations of $2.41 billion, or $2.32 a share, compared with $2.17 billion, or $2.04 a share, a year earlier.
Stripping out one-time items, earnings came in at $2.25 a share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected adjusted earnings of $2.01 a share.
Revenue rose 16% to $14.12 billion, topping Wall Street models for $12.88 billion.
Revenue from GE Aerospace's commercial engines and services segment jumped 21%, while the defense and propulsion technologies business had a 6.7% increase in sales.
Chief Executive Larry Culp said solid demand drove orders up 49%. "We are raising our 2026 guidance across the board, and we now expect 2027 commercial services to grow low-double-digits supported by our over $170 billion commercial services backlog," he added.
For the year, GE Aerospace now expects adjusted earnings of $8 to $8.10 a share, up from a previous range of $7.65 to $7.85 a share. Analysts are looking for $7.94 a share.
The company also raised its adjusted revenue-growth outlook to between 19% and 20%, up from the high-teens percentage growth it had previously forecast.
