路透吉隆坡10月21日 - 马来西亚已禁止公务员使用Alphabet旗下的导航应用Waze，此前总理安瓦尔·易卜拉欣表示，该应用源自以色列，引发了安全担忧。
以穆斯林为主的马来西亚是巴勒斯坦事业的坚定支持者，且未与以色列建立外交关系。
安瓦尔周二表示，政府正在调查使用Waze可能带来的安全风险，他称该应用“受以色列法律约束”。
“我们不能在人民的数据和身份安全问题上妥协，”他在主持国家网络安全委员会会议后，于Facebook上发文称。
安瓦尔虽未透露具体风险细节，但建议改用由马来西亚高速公路管理局开发的本土地图应用“TuJu”作为替代方案。
据周二致各政府机构负责人的信函显示，马来西亚政府首席秘书沙姆苏尔·阿兹里·阿布·巴卡尔表示，所有公务员现将被禁止使用Waze。
路透查阅的这封信函称，该指令是根据安瓦尔主持的会议上做出的决定而下达的，禁令立即生效。
总理署一名官员 证实了该信函的真实性。
Waze 成立于以色列，利用卫星信号和来自驾驶员的众包数据提供实时交通信息。2013 年，Alphabet 旗下的谷歌以约 10 亿美元的价格收购了该公司。
