Stock futures were rising Wednesday as investors geared up for Meta Platforms' third-quarter results, which will mark the first time a Big Tech hyperscaler has reported this earnings season.

Shares of Meta slid 0.13% ahead of the opening bell. Wall Street will be watching the Facebook parent's capital spending guidance, given how much money it is plowing into artificial intelligence.

SpaceX surged 9% after the rocket and AI company topped analysts' expectations for third-quarter earnings. CEO Elon Musk also said SpaceX and Tesla have formed committees exploring a potential merger. Tesla stock advanced 2.2%. It's also due to report after the close.

Netflix dropped 6% after the video streamer beat Wall Street's third-quarter earnings target but issued disappointing revenue guidance. The report also failed to ease concerns about slowing engagement.

Intuitive Surgical tumbled 7.76% after the surgical robot maker's third-quarter results topped analysts' estimates, but also disclosed a $450 million antitrust and narrowed its procedure-growth outlook.

Capital One advanced 3.2% after the credit-card company said on a third-quarter earnings call that it would spend more on marketing as it takes on competitors ramping up their own efforts to get in front of more customers.

Lam Research, SAP, Texas Instruments, and International Business Machines are also set to report earnings on Wednesday.
