ChainCatcher 消息，据 CoinDesk 报道，以太坊快速最终性研究方向协调人 Ben Edgington 与多名研究者提交草案，拟将交易最终性等待时间从约 16 分钟缩短至约 4 分钟，提升约四倍。
当前目标是将该草案推入正式升级提案流程。草案核心思路是将验证者原先“选块”与“敲定最终性”合并机制拆开，使最终性可按更快节奏推进，并便于日后换用抗量子签名。
更快最终性有望降低跨链转账服务因资金占用产生的成本。以太坊基金会研究举例称，若某服务每小时垫付约 100 万美元，在 16 分钟延迟下约有 26.7 万美元待收回，缩短至 4 分钟后约可降至 6.7 万美元。
