On October 22, President Donald Trump said on X that he urged Vivek Ramaswamy to keep running an ad about Amy Acton, who he said is running for Governor of Ohio.

Trump wrote that the spot features a mother denouncing her daughter, Amy Acton, as “a liar,” and claimed, “The Press, in a concerted and well coordinated attack, is trying to get Vivek Ramaswamy to ‘take down the Ad.’” He criticized “Artificial News” and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, calling him a “RINO,” saying DeWine “strongly suggested that Vivek should, ‘take down the Ad,’” and adding that DeWine “was losing by 16 points prior to my doing a Rally.”

Trump asserted the ad would be celebrated if used against him, calling it “Ad of the Decade — Maybe the Century!” He added, “I suggested, on the other hand, that Vivek should keep it up, and let everyone listen to the mother of a defective, dishonest, and incapable Candidate, explain how the daughter is a DISASTER who, uncontrollably, lies, cheats, and steals!” He labeled Acton “Lyin’ Amy Acton” and praised Ramaswamy as “a brilliant and outstanding person” who will “MAKE OHIO GREAT AGAIN.” The post was signed “President DONALD J. TRUMP.” Source: X.
