Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) has opened an office in Doha anchored by its global credit platform, including Oaktree, multiple news outlets reported Sunday.
The office gives the asset manager closer access to sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors and deal opportunities in one of the region's fastest-growing investment markets, the news outlets reported.
The move deepens Brookfield's ties to Qatar, where it has a 20 billion dollar AI infrastructure investment program with QIA-backed AI company Qai, according to the reports.
Brookfield did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
